Ironmongery Direct monkey around

Architectural ironmongery merchant Ironmongery Direct has donated 40 Chubb padlocks to the Isle of Wight’s Owl and Monkey Haven.
The padlocks are keyed alike, meaning that more than one lock can be operated with the same key, giving keepers easy access to all enclosures

The donation ensures secure environments for all the inhabitants currently housed at the sanctuary, which is due to open to the public later this year.

Don Walser, owner of The Owl and Monkey Haven, says: “I have been caring for birds of prey and primates for more than 30 years and my passion for these animals has lead to the birth of the Haven. The keyed-alike padlocks from Ironmongery Direct have been great, as they are so easy to operate, making my duties around the Haven much easier.”
