Industry Awards raises £2k for charity

An appeal on behalf of the charity by BBC newsreader Louisa Preston, compering the event, raised £1,861.64 – and BMJ and BuildersMerchantsJournal.net publisher, Faversham House Group, immediately offered to round the figure up to £2,000.

Accepting the donation and thanking the audience, RDT vice-president Colin Petty also presented a bottle of champagne to Roger Vale, bathrooms and kitchens buyer at Stax Trade Centres, winner of the charity draw at the lunch.
