Henco, the manufacturer of pipes and fittings for the sanitary and heating sector, among others, has started producing pre-insulated pipes in-house as of April 2024.

The company has invested 10 million euros in a new foam line, providing insulation to the Henco multilayer pipe. The investment brings major benefits in efficiency and delivery flexibility, as well as sustainability. Henco will remove over a thousand trucks from the road every year thanks to it. And thus, Henco becomes the only producer with completely in-house production of these types of pipes in Western Europe.
Wim Verhoeven, CEO of Henco, explains: “We are keeping the production from A to Z in-house, where in the past, every truck trip to our partners required two or three return trips. These transport savings will take more than 1,000 trucks off the road every year, or about 750 tonnes of CO2.” This year, Henco also already installed 2,000 solar panels on the site, starting the move towards more sustainable production.
