h&b Welcomes the latest Graduate from their Development group

Jersey Building Supplies, the only independent builders merchant on the island, has become the latest graduate from h&b Development Group into the h&b Buying Group. A combination of turnover growth, commitment to the approved supplier base and excellent engagement in group activity, had made the Channel Island-based merchant an ideal candidate for elevation to the main h&b group as an associate member.

The h&b Development Group was created as an opportunity for small to medium-sized independent merchant businesses to take advantage of h&b’s industry-beating buying deals and business support to grow turnover, profitability and professionalism. Established in 2007 s Jersey’s, Jersey Building Supplies began as a timber merchant but soon evolved into an all-round merchant selling a wide variety of light and heavyside building materials from a single depot in St Peter right at the heart of the island. This is the first time that Jersey Building Supplies has been part of a merchant buying group, attracted by h&b’s buying deals which the firm is using to grow and develop the business, opening up new trading opportunities and product areas.
