Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
Family-run independent builders merchant Grant & Stone has opened a new branch.
The new outlet in Maidenhead, Berkshire, follows the acquisition on Friday June 24 of the branch from Meakins, the builders merchants in Reading.
Grant & Stone, partners in buying group NBG LLP, say the branch is well suited to complementing its existing plumbers merchants, bathroom showroom and electrical wholesalers in the area and the overall portfolio.
The company has also announced that Alan Kent, formerly assistant manager of the Pinner branch, has been promoted to branch manager of the new branch
The acquisition brings the total of Grant & Stone branches up to 14.
