Graham branch wins lottery

Staff at a Scottish plumbers merchant are celebrating after scooping nearly £1m on the National Lottery.

Eight people are in the syndicate, although three of them no longer work at Graham, and will share the £927,429 prize.

Galashiels branch manager Mike Ormiston, who runs the syndicate, said: “We’re all over the moon. We’re just waiting for a lady from Camelot to come and verify the ticket so we’re trying not to get too excited until that’s been done.

“It’s a lot of money and it’s not sunk in yet.”
