Glidevale go green at Goodwood

An active role in helping the next generation appreciate the benefits of sustainable solutions is being adopted by Glidevale.

Glidevale go green at Goodwood

The roofing and roof ventilation company is sponsoring the 2007 Formula 24 Greenpower car built by young pupils at St Pauls Catholic College in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.

Under the national Greenpower scheme the cars must use just one standard 24v electric wheelchair motor and two 12v car batteries. Students then compete their cars in a series of four-hour endurance races, culminating in a final at Goodwood motor circuit.

Glidevale have provided help for pupils in manufacturing the car body panels, using their advanced ABS material and colouring technology employed in their own range of slate and tile ventilators and Sunscoop tubular rooflight, and helping engineer the aluminium box section frame chassis.
