Builders merchant, Gibbs & Dandy, has announced it will open a new branch in Leeds this summer in order to cater for the growing demand from the trade in the region.

The new branch will become the company’s third in Yorkshire, joining others in nearby Pudsey and Huddersfield.
Opening on Monday 3rd August, the branch will sell a wide variety of materials to suit all building needs, including general building materials, such as bricks, block, insulation and plasterboard. There will also be a drive-thru timber shed stocking timber, sheet materials and PSE mouldings, whilst also offering timber cutting services.
As part of the expansion plans in Yorkshire, Gibbs & Dandy will be looking for local people in various roles, such as external sales, counter sales, administration roles, forklift truck operators, LGV drivers and yard assistants.
Gibbs & Dandy’s managing director, Neil Lawrence, said: “This new branch will complement the other two in Pudsey and Huddersfield and help cement our position as the go-to local merchant that you can trust in the area.
“The wider growth of the Gibbs & Dandy network is a reflection of our recent successes and our customer first culture.”
