Fortis IBA announces it has appointed Mark Oliver as its new chairman, he brings 40 years of experience to the company – most recently as CEO of The Clarison Group.
The appointment comes after a recent period of expansion and investment, including the development of a new processing facility at Ridham, in Kent, and technical development of the range of Fortistone IBA Aggregate.
“I have been a pioneer of sustainable and low carbon construction for many years and I am now delighted to have the opportunity to chair a business in the circular economy that can really make a difference by reducing waste to landfill, reducing quarrying of natural aggregate and reducing carbon emissions,” said Oliver.
Fortis creates a sustainable aggregate, called IBA Aggregate, that can be used within the construction industry as a sustainable alternative to primary aggregate, supporting the circular economy.
Steve Clasby, chief operating officer, added: “We are extremely pleased to welcome Mark Oliver as chairman to the Fortis business. His wealth of experience in the construction industry will be a great asset to the management team and further expansion of the Fortis business.”
