Fire at builders merchants WJ Lewis

A fire broke out at Manchester independent builders merchants WJ Lewis at the weekend.

The blaze, at the Middleton head office branch, was tackled by 20 firefighters and six fire engines, who were called out at 1.40am.

The blaze is being treated as suspicious, and caused extensive fire and smoke damage to the building.
