Fil appoints Mike Gorman as new sales director

Storage and racking specialist Fil (formerly Filplastic) has appointed Mike Gorman as its new sales director. Gorman brings more than 17 years of industry experience to the Yorkshire company, having supplied builders’ merchants, national DIY chains, supermarkets and high street and budget retailers.

Initially, he will be covering the North West region for Fil, but his role will grow once the company recruits a permanent business development manager to cover this area.

Gorman’s role will also see him manage the company’s key accounts, ensuring Fil’s customers continue to receive market-leading service.

Paul Taylor, managing director of Fil, said he was delighted to welcome such a well-respected industry professional to the company. He said: “Mike has worked in our industry a long time, so I have always been aware of how well he knows the racking and storage industry and the sectors that we work in, and how well-liked and respected he is. “He is a fantastic addition to our business development team and I’m sure he will play a big part in our continued growth plans, both in the builders’ merchant sector and by helping us break into new industries.

“I am really pleased that he has decided to join Fil and I’m very much looking forward to working closely with him.”
