Derbyshire builders merchant gets new look

Commercial manager Brian Hardy told buildersmerchantsjournal.net: “The trade counter area has trebled, if not quadrupled in size. We have been able to take in more stock and also to take on a broader range of stocklines. It’s all been about making sure that we can offer our customers a better quality of service.

“We kept open right through all the refurbishment work which was tough for all the staff, but since the opening we have probably seen business rise 25% and it’s still improving. The response from customers, both trade and public, has been incredible.”

The refurbishment also included a totally redesigned building yard with customer parking and newly renovated offices and the company has also implemented a new IT system across the offices and trade counter.

Robert Clower, managing director said: “Over the last century, Clower and Son has established a reputation for supplying the highest quality products and we pride ourselves on offering professional and friendly advice to our customers, who travel to us from across the region.

“We are delighted with the finished result of the refurbishment and we were pleased to welcome so many of our loyal customers to the showcase of our new image,” added Robert.

Clower and Son Ltd have been in business for more than 125 years.
