Demand for free insulation up 25%

The Heat Project has reported record applications for free loft and cavity wall insulation since the introduction of an over-70s category under the governments Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (CERT) last week.

Demand for free insulation up 25%

The free insulation is available to all homeowners and private tenants over the age of 70 and The Heat Project has reported a 25% rise in the number of applications to the scheme.

Paul Johnson, operations director at the Heat Project said “We are naturally delighted to have had such a positive response rate to our recent announcement regarding the free insulation available to the over 70s.

“Our primary concern has always been to ensure better living conditions as a result of the cost savings and physical benefits of loft and cavity wall insulation, and we only hope that homeowners and private tenants continue to contact us and apply for what they are entitled to.”
