Covers puts local hospice in the shade

The team at Covers Timber and Builders Merchants in Chichester has helped patients at the Rowans Hospice Charity by donating three parasols to its Living Well Centre.

Donation of umbrella

Last year, patients at the Rowans Hospice, based in Waterlooville, Hampshire, couldn’t enjoy the Living Well Centre courtyard garden area due to a lack of available shade.

Richard Murrell, Depot Manager of Covers Home Ideas, said: “We heard about the difficulty the Rowans Hospice was having providing suitable shade for its outdoor area. It’s a shame as patients there use the garden regularly as a form of therapy, as well as for gardening activities. Therefore, it was a great pleasure to rectify that by donating some parasols to allow the patients to comfortably enjoy the outdoors during the warmer months.”

Tracy Jeffrey, Manager of the Rowans Hospice Living Well Centre, added: “An enormous thank you to Covers for its donation of three parasols for our Living Well Centre. This donation will ensure our patients and carers can enjoy the garden areas during the warm weather. Some of our classes and meet ups can also be held outside when the centre is busy.”
