Civils Store have announced they will now stock StormTech just as Schedule 3 of the Flood & Water Management Act 2010 comes into place.
Schedule 3 of the Act requires developers to use Sustainable Drainage Systems and is expected to be implemented next year, the importance of effective stormwater storage and attenuation systems will only increase.
Kevin Hancock, Civils Store managing director, said: “We have enjoyed great success with StormTech on a buy-to-order basis, and with the huge increase in interest in StormTech and with Schedule 3 just around the corner, it makes perfect sense for us to bring StormTech into stock at our depots. Our first shipment is to Kent, then into Somerset, with other branches to follow.”
Civils Store have also said that StormTech has been used in over 50,000 projects worldwide and features a range of chamber sizes, units are stackable and require minimal space for storage and transport.
StormTech can also be installed to the minimum and maximum cover depths detailed within the standard Advanced Drainage Systems installation guidelines.
