Chief construction adviser appointed

Quantity surveyor Paul Morrell is expected to be announced as chief construction adviser this week, according to Building.
Morrell is currently an independent consultant on issues relating to construction economics and procurement. He is also a non-executive director of strategic and design consultancy DEGW.

His first job will be to chair a review of construction’s role in a low carbon economy, with the first meeting likely to be held this month.
