Chandlers opens high street timber & landscaping showroom

Builders merchant Chandlers Building Supplies has launched a high street timber and landscaping showroom in the heart of Windlesham in Surrey.

The showroom, which is now branded Chandlers, used to be known as Pennyhill Timber, and is open to the trade and public, with the retail team helping to raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust via donations to advertise on its popular ‘Tradesperson Noticeboard’. It is open Monday – Friday, 8am – 12.30pm.

Employing two product advisers, the showroom is wholly dedicated to timber and landscaping products and is completely separate from Chandlers’ builders merchant branch located three miles away on Lucas Green Road, Woking.   The 40 sq. meters of retail space, showcasing ranges of cladding, decking, screening battens, porcelain paving, wooden flooring, doors and sleepers as well as decorative aggregates and more, opened at the beginning of the month.

Stuart MacDonald of Chandlers Building Supplies, said: “Since opening the showroom in the town we’ve attracted a lot of attention from tradespeople and their customers. We’ve also seen an influx of the general public who are keen to see products close up, get knowledgeable advice on their projects, and prefer a retail showroom environment than a big builders’ merchants setting  – so in many respects we are filling a gap in the market.”
