An employee of independent builders merchant Chandlers Building Supplies is to chair a University of Brighton Water Efficiency in Building Network masterclass.
The one day seminar entitled “Retrofitting for Water Efficiency” will be chaired by technical specification manager Phil Barnard and is designed to give delegates an insight into the future of water efficiency, the importance of the Water Label, an understanding of the cost benefit and much more.
Barnard said: “I’m delighted to be chairing the masterclass. With the strain on water resources and increasing cost to domestic households, there is a need to look at and push water efficient alternatives. There will be a number of different subjects covered on the day, which include the water labelling system, British Standards and rainwater and greywater harvesting, so it’s sure to be informative for all that attend.”
The seminar will take place at the BRE (Building Research Establishment) Trust in Watford on Wednesday 5th February between 10am and 4.10pm. Places are £75 + VAT and can be booked through www.bre.co.uk.
