Building materials company Cemex has met the Building Research Establishment Framework Standard for the Responsible Sourcing of Construction Products for its readymix division.
The standard, BES6001, covers more than 230 of the company’s sites across the country and the certification means that all readymix concrete supplied by Cemex UK is now responsibly sourced, to an independently verified standard that addresses the social, economic and environmental impacts across the entire supply chain.
The certification also allows for traceability of the product to ensure all areas within the supply chain are operating to high standards.
