Lintel manufacturer Catnic has achieved ISO14001 recognition of its environmental management policy, the first lintel maker to do so.
Making a broad range of lintels and building components for the commercial and housebuilding sectors, Catnic is committed to achieving continual improvement in environmental performance and pollution prevention.
The ISO14001 accreditation underpins Catnic’s environmental management system, providing a guarantee that processes comply with legislative requirements set by government that relate to the environment.
Throughout development and manufacture Catnic aims to: carefully manage its energy efficiency and water consumption; reduce the amount of waste it sends to landfill; and ensure its contract management and purchasing processes fulfill this stringent environmental stance too.
Marketing manager Barry Jenkins said: “The achievement of ISO14001 provides testament to the seriousness with which Catnic takes its environmental responsibilities. Offering reassurance to the industry, we constantly strive to improve both our environmental practices and the environmental performance of our products.”
