Castle Cement sentence adjourned

The case brought by the Environment Agency Wales against Castle Cement, (now called Hanson Cement,) has been adjourned until December 3.
The company had admitted breaching conditions of their permit by failing to maintain its plant and equipment at Padeswood in Flintshire between May 8, 2007 and July 28, 2007.

It follows a series of incidents between 2006 and July 2007, and detailed investigations by Agency officers who discovered breaches of the company’s environmental permit.
