Castle and Merton Timber to disappear

Builders merchant Jewson is moving its sister London timber and builders merchants Merton Timber and Castle Timber into the Jewson fold, re-branding both sets of branches as Jewson.

Castle and Merton Timber to disappear

Castle Timber and Merton Timber were previously part of the independent merchants group of Saint Gobain Building Distribution UK – Jewson’s parent company.

The change gives Jewson a further 15 branches in its London network, taking the total to 45.

The Castle Timber branches are in Acton, Kentish Town, Battersea, Bow and White City; the Merton Timber beranches are in Dulwich, Wimbledon, Mitcham, Orpington, Sutton, Epsom, Weybridge, Twickenham.

“The incorporation of Castle Timber and Merton Timber into the Jewson network ensures that customers in the London area are now never more than five miles from a branch,” says Mike Lamb, Jewson area director for London.
