Buildbase lorry involved in tragic accident

A lorry from builders merchant chain Buildbase was involved in an accident in Cheltenham yesterday in which a man died.
The 33-year-old was hospitalised after the incident, which occurred on Tewkesbury Road at around 2.10pm yesterday and was flown by air ambulance to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, where he died from head injuries.

The man is believed to have run out into the path of the lorry, with the driver unable to do anything to prevent the accident happening.

Tewkesbury Road in Cheltenham was closed for four hours as paramedics treated the man and police conducted an investigation at the scene.
