Brett sign up for sustainable charter

Brett Landscaping and Building Products have signed up to a Sustainability Charter organised by the British Precast Concrete Federation.

Brett sign up for sustainable charter

Companies signing up to the Charter pledge to deliver on a host of tough challenges. These include; developing products that improve the quality of the built environment, minimising waste disposal to landfill, cutting pollution and emissions linked to production and transportation, using energy more efficiently and reducing our businesses carbon footprint.

Brett Landscaping and Building Products’ managing director, Chris Droogan, said that the commitments laid down by the charter are challenging, “but we are focused on meeting these benchmarks in order to deliver real and measurable results.”

He added that the Charter also provides customers with a means of differentiating between those manufacturers who are committed to sustainability and continuous improvement of their performance, and others.

Martin Clarke, British Precast Chief Executive, said: “The charter provides member companies with a way of demonstrating that they are going beyond legislation and undertaking voluntary actions to improve their performance on a range of issues under the broad theme of sustainability.”
