Bradfords’ Peter reaches his peak for charity

Bradford Building Supplies’ commercial director Peter Hoole has successfully climbed to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in Kenya.

Bradfords' Peter reaches his peak for charity

Hoole said: “I successfully got to the summit of Uhura Peak at circa 6.20am on Friday 21st Sept, after setting off at midnight for the night climb. It was just in time to see dawn break from the top and I saw the most spectacular view – a full 360 degree panoramic view of the horizon from which you can see the curvature of the earth.”

Hoole was climbing the 20,000 ft peak – the highest in Africa – in aid of the Breath of Life fund. This charity actually supports a particular lung disease which is currently incurable and can affect anyone.

Hoole says he hopes his trek will raise awareness of this terrible illness, and also raise much needed funds, which might one day help to find a cure.
