Bradfords flies deliveries in by balloon

BRADFORDS AIR DELIVERY

South West independent builder’s merchant Bradfords Building Supplies is launching a bold new delivery service, which will use a hot air balloon to drop goods to its customers.

Bradfords Air Delivery will allow customers to receive their orders from the skies and, while the service will be weather-dependent, the company is anticipating strong demand.

David Young, CEO, said: “Throughout our 253-year history, Bradfords has always embraced innovation. Drones might sound exciting, but the future of deliveries is hot air balloons! The launch of Bradfords Air Delivery means we can literally drop off customer orders wherever they need them.”

AIR DELIVERY

Bradfords Air Delivery comes 220 years after the first ‘aerostatic’ flight in history. On 19 September 1783, an experiment carried out by the Montgolfier brothers at Versailles saw man leave the surface of the earth for the first time – just 13 years after William Bradford established Bradfords.
