Bodmin Blocks in administration

A building materials firm in Cornwall has gone into administration.
Bodmin Blocks employed 80 people on an 18-acre site at Penwithick near St Austell.

It sells aggregates, sand, block and decorative goods, however the firm has suffered badly from the downturn in the market. Dominic Wong, Robin Allen and Chris Farrington of Deloitte, have been appointed Joint Administrators, with a view to continuing to trade whilst aiming to sell the business as a going concern.

Bodmin Blocks owns a ready mix concrete plant, around 60 vehicles in its haulage division and has haulage contracts with a number of UK aggregate and china clay companies.
