Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
The flagship event for the Builders Merchants Federation, BMF Members’ Day will be held at the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel in Meriden, Warwickshire in September.
Held on September 20, with a dinner the evening before, BMF Members’ Day will try and tackle two of the biggest challenges are facing our industry: the economy and the Green Deal.
Two of the main speakers are Dr Andrew Sentance, renowned economist and former Monetary Policy Committee member and David Purdy, head of insulation and delivery in the Energy Efficiency and Consumers Directorate of DECC.
Dr Sentance will give his views on the shape of the recovery and what it means for our industry in the short and long term, while Purdy will give an update on the merchants position in the Green Deal as well as discussing forthcoming rules and regulations affecting merchants and their customers.
The day also includes a series of morning workshops on a variety of topics and a Supplier Liaison meeting in the afternoon.
