Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
Ben Chandler, finance director of Chandler Material Suppliers, has been appointed as Regional Chairman for the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) Anglia Region.
His appointment comes as Hugh Guntrip of Huws Gray steps down from the role after a five year term.
Chandler Material Supplies is a family run, local and independent builder’s merchant, which has been serving the people of Essex from its Chelmsford base since the 1950s.
Chandler, a CIMA qualified management accountant, joined the business ten years ago having gained extensive experience in different industries. He has long supported the BMF’s work, having been involved in the BMF Young Merchant Group since taking up his role at Chandlers.
He said: “I have always valued the meetings and forums that bring BMF members together and I am looking forward to working with the BMF team and building on Hugh’s excellent example as chair in supporting members in the Anglia Region.”
