Phil Bell, managing director of ATAG Heating is to cycle 800 miles across France on behalf of the British Heart Foundation.
The solo ride from the northern French port of Caen, through France along the Canal du Midi to the Mediterranean town of Narbonne will take around 10 days.
The plan is to start on June 3 and finish on June 17.
‘I have chosen to raise money for this charity because three years ago, I needed the support of the British Heart Foundation following what turned out to be a life changing event for me and my family,’ said Bell. “I was more fortunate than many people in this situation, but without their support the experience would have been far worse.”
ATAG will also be contributing an additional £5 to the Foundation every time an installer purchases an ATAG boiler during June 2010.
