The Association of Manufacturers of Domestic Appliances (AMDEA) has appointed Stefan Hay chief executive officer, as Paul Hide steps down after nearly six years.
Hay has worked at senior level with, and for, trade associations, membership bodies and not-for-profit organisations for the past 30 years.
Hay said: “At a time of exciting evolution in the domestic appliance sector where innovation, sustainability, and smart technology are transforming our everyday lives at rapid pace, I am delighted to be joining AMDEA as CEO. I have big shoes to fill – Paul has achieved amazing things over the past five and a half years, and I’m looking forward to working with a very competent and very successful team. It’s a privilege to lead an organisation at the heart of such meaningful change, and emerging opportunities and I look forward to supporting our members and working with them to shape the future of our industry.”
