Insulation specialist Actis has upgraded its library of construction details to help architects and builders ensure their projects perform as designed.
The augmented library now covers all the most commonly used junctions, which can help specifiers ensure maximum energy efficiency of the construction envelope.
The construction details offer a combination of specific detail, together with a range of modelled psi-values using different build-ups which meet current industry standards.
Actis regional specification manager Jason Docherty explained: “With more stringent building regulations even more focus must be is placed on thermal bridging, and it’s increasingly important to look at the thermal properties of construction junctions in a well-insulated building. Heat loss through junctions is significant and has a big impact on the overall energy efficiency of a building.”
