Heating multi-tech manufacturer Worcester Bosch has today (December 18) announced that its CEO, Carl Arntzen, will be retiring in early 2026. He will be succeeded by current sales & marketing director, Jo Shepherd, who has been with the business on its legal board since 2022.
Arntzen, who has held the position since 2011, will step down at the end of March 2026. He joined the business as one of the first interns for Worcester Heat Systems in the early 1980’s and became a Design Engineer in 1985. He then developed through a number of functions including Engineering, Product Management, Field Service and Sales. He was appointed CEO in 2011.
During Arntzen’s tenure, he made a significant contribution to the business as it has grown as well as leading the business through a period of operational continuity within a changing market environment.
He says “I’m incredibly proud of what Worcester Bosch has achieved during the last decade. We have navigated a fast-evolving market, introduced new technologies to our portfolio, and continued to grow and foster our loyal installer base. All whilst delivering efficient and reliable warmth to homes across the UK.”
Jo Shepherd has over two decades of experience across sales, marketing and customer strategy. Since joining Worcester Bosch, she has led the company through the rapidly changing industry, enabling the company’s evolution into a multi-tech heating manufacturer.
Shepherd said; “Carl’s contribution to both our company and the wider industry as a whole is monumental. He has expertly helped us navigate through a changing landscape, setting us up for continued success and for that I and all of us at Worcester Bosch are extremely grateful. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
