ABC Depot director receives Young Entrepreneur of the Year nomination

Prakash Patel, ABC Depot’s managing director, has been one of the driving forces behind the independent merchant’s growth. After acquiring the business along with his brothers, Patel has grown the business from a relatively small merchant into one North London’s premier providers of building materials, operating out of two sites.

Patel said: “It’s an honour to even be considered for this prestigious award, let alone being nominated as a finalist. I have always prided myself on aiming high and the success of ABC Depot and this nomination is testament to this ethic.”

“Obviously, I wouldn’t have been able to achieve all I have without the support of those around me and we will be celebrating whatever the outcome is.”

Through the success of ABC Depot grew two new ventures. The first of which was the drywall and insulation distributor Capital Drywall. The second was independent buying group IBC. It was at this point that the Allneeds Group of Companies was formed.

The awards are due to take place on the 26th February 2015 at the Houses of Commons.
