James Latham rebrands Dresser Mouldings to Latham Timber Manufacturing

James Latham, the UK’s leading independent distributor of timber, panels, and decors, has announced the rebranding of its Rochdale-based timber mouldings and cladding specialist, Dresser Mouldings, to Latham Timber Manufacturing (LTM).

This rebrand marks a significant milestone in the James Latham Group’s strategic goal of aligning all its subsidiaries under a unified family of brands, creating a cohesive offering that spans the entire distribution services supply chain. 974fd1e4be4840306c1ea013dbf1a8ca4b189c3b

James Latham acquired Dresser in 2019 in response to the increasing demand for machined mouldings and cladding, a trend that has continued to grow. Over the past five years, the business has strengthened its reputation for quality, creativity, and consistency, collaborating with high-profile clients to develop decorative and finishing solutions across a diverse range of sectors. These include intricate bespoke carving and cornicing, award-winning cladding products, and high-performance, ultra-sustainable curtain wall systems.

As LTM, the business will continue to provide the same exceptional service that customers have come to expect, while benefiting from significant investment by the James Latham Group. This investment has led to major upgrades in plant equipment, now featuring state-of-the-art machinery that enhances capability and efficiency without compromising on quality.

David Johnson, General Manager at LTM, commented: “Since James Latham acquired Dresser, they’ve provided invaluable support in helping to grow and expand the business. They have deep roots in the timber trade, with a strong understanding of the challenges we face and the ability to spot opportunities. Their ongoing support, both physical and digital, continues to help us evolve our offering, maintain our appeal, and make substantial inroads into both existing and emerging markets.”

From November 4 2024, Dresser Mouldings officially adopted the name Latham Timber Manufacturing. The division will remain led by David Johnson, who reports to Andy Duffin at the James Latham Group. There have been no changes to personnel or day-to-day operations.
